A true family affair

The Barnard Buick

Horsham’s Barnard family are mad car lovers. After growing up with father David and his love of Buicks, it was only natural that Phillip would one day own his own.
It was 18 months ago that Phillip’s dream became a reality, when he purchased his pride and joy, a bright blue 1964 Buick.
“I was brought up in a family that absolutely loved cars and it certainly rubbed off on me,” Phillip said.
“When this car came along I knew it was the one for me. And judging by the way my kids love the car, I’m sure the family tradition will continue,”
He said the car provided him and wife Jan, along with children Jamie, Matthew, Alisha, Nicholas and Rhiannon, hours of entertainment.
“We love getting the car out, cruising with the roof down and just getting out in the open air,” he said.
A member of the Old Skool Hotrod Club, Phillip said he also received great satisfaction from showing his car off in different rallies and show and shines.
“I enjoy the different responses I get from people and what they say about the car,” he said.
“Seeing the joy people get from cars such as the Buick really provides us with a huge buzz.”
