WorkCo CEO John Ackland announced Mr Goldsmith as the replacement for Longerenong College principal Gavin Drew.
Mr Goldsmith commenced at Longerenong College in 1985 as a student where he studied a four year agricultural degree and recently completed an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.
After study he was appointed manager of the poultry farm until 1996 when he was employed as a lecturer. In 2001 he was promoted to course coordinator of all full-time courses until his appointment as vice principal, a position which he has held for the past four years.

He continues to have the passion for education and agriculture while looking for opportunities for the college to grow.
“I am looking forward to leading Longerenong College into the future,” Mr Goldsmith said.
“The college prides itself on providing courses that provide opportunities to learn practical, hands-on skills. Our focus is to meet industry needs – with students having access to all the latest in machinery, technology and knowledge, we have been doing this for the pat 120 years.”
