The boys are back

Rick Stephens, Paul Christopher and Marty Lieschke

The Wimmera is buzzing in anticipation of the rock ‘n’ roll explosion set to hit pubs and clubs this weekend as more than 40 regional bands reunite to celebrate 50 Years of Wimmera Rock as part of the 30th annual Kannamaroo Festival. Former Horsham musician Rick Stephens has travelled from his home in Germany to perform with his iconic bush band Shades Of Troopers Creek. Rick took to the stage at Horsham Soundshell this week with U-Jorgan frontman Paul Christopher and Cutting Edge bass player Marty Lieschke for an impromptu rendition of Bob Dylan’s Knocking On Heaven’s Door for The Weekly Advertiser cameras.
