Rick Stephens

Former Wimmera musician and businessman Rick Stephens has travelled from his home in Germany to reunite with his band Shades Of Troopers Creek for the 50 Years of Wimmera Rock festival. It was more than 10 years ago the hugely popular bush band last took to a stage and Rick has prepared for the reunion by recording all the songs that will feature in the band’s three performances this weekend. Rick, who has worked as a full-time musician in Germany since the late 90s, performed all instruments and vocals on the recording and has 100 copies of the CD to give away to fans this weekend. The disc includes The Reunion Song, a brand new track written and recorded by Rick as a tribute to this weekend’s event.
