Amy Harris

Amy Harris from Ararat is one of six dancers set to embark on an extraordinary journey as a nominee for the prestigious 2010 Telstra Ballet Dancer Award.
Amy trained with Carole Oliver School of Dance in Ballarat, before joining The Australian Ballet School aged 15 in 1999. Amy then joined The Australian Ballet in 2002.
Now in its eighth year, the 2010 Ballet Dancer Award is the highest accolade of its kind available to an Australian ballet dancer.
The winner will receive $20,000, with $5000 to be won for the People’s Choice Award to the dancer who receives the most public votes.
Winners will be announced at the Sydney Opera House during the opening night of The Nutcracker in December.
