First-aid courses are now available

Regional education organisation Wimmera Hub has encouraged people to make the most of first-aid training courses.
Course co-ordinator Kathleen Smart said Apply First Aid and Perform CPR courses were nationally recognised and attracted more than 200 people each year.
“Businesses should provide a safe workplace for all employees and clients and the two-day Apply First Aid can help meet these obligations,” she said.
“In our courses, not only do the tutors cover recommended subjects, they also set up scenarios to cover what to do in case you come across an emergency. You never know when you might be called on to help someone.”
Ms Smart said the Apply First Aid course provided participants will skills to help in an emergency first-aid incident. The three-hour Perform CPR training course was for people had had completed the Apply First Aid course.
