Region on show

Grampians Tourism representative Kylie Schurmann discusses an itinerary with visitors at the Adelaide Caravan and Camping Show.

Visitors to the Caravan and Camping Shows in Adelaide and Melbourne were able to meet tourism experts at a regionally focused Grampians stand.
Five local government areas of the region featured as a whole on the newly designed Grampians Tourism stand. The stand was decorated with images designed to showcase key experiences of the region.
“Many show goers were keen to tell us how much they enjoyed previous visits to the region,” Grampians Tourism chief executive Chris Burchett said.
“We were then able to make suggestions about areas they hadn’t been before.
“For those who hadn’t visited, we were able to assist to plan itineraries highlighting things to see and do while taking their Grampians escape.
“The caravanning and camping tourism segment is growing at an amazing rate and our region is perfectly poised to make the most of this trend.
“Our region is accessible, has great diversity and has the most spectacular national park as its centerpiece.”
Grampians Tourism is a regional tourism body covering local government areas of Ararat and Horsham rural cities, Pyrenees, Northern and Southern Grampians Shires.
