Cricket Victoria’s John Harris, left, and Stuart Johns display orange balls players in a Wimmera’s MixxFM T-20 Cricket competition will use as part of a national Harmony in Cricket message.
Cricket Victoria is supplying the balls as part of the harmony promotion which embraces Australia values of justice, equality, fairness, mateship and respect for and appreciation of others.
Harvey Norman in Horsham will also sponsor a crowd-catch competition. Organisers will take the names of spectators who take crowd catches and enter them in a draw for the Harvey Norman Classic Catch. At the end of the grand final, they will draw a winner who will win a $450 gift voucher.
The T-20 concept hit off with a player draft last week. Homers batsman Sandy Hodge was number-one draft and will join Cec Hopper and Sons Sparks. The tournament will start with a round of day games at Horsham Sunnyside oval on Sunday. The action starts at 11.30am.
