Country festival ‘think-tank’ tonight

Popular country music artist Don Costa will perform at Horsham RSL Club for Horsham Country Music Association on May 5 and 6.
Association spokesman Lyall Wheaton said Costa was well known in the Wimmera, having regularly appearing at Horsham Plaza and other venues.
“This will be Costa’s second performance at the RSL following a sell-out crowd in 2009,” he said.
“Costa is now based on the Sunshine Coast but spent many years at Robinvale. His performance features a great selection of good old country songs and country rock.”
Mr Wheaton said the Thursday night May 5 performance was a dinner and show starting at 6.30pm for a cost of $30.
A Friday, May 6 performance would be Morning Melodies event starting at 9.30am at a cost of $10.
Meeting
The association will have a festival ‘think-tank’ meeting at the RSL club tonight at 7.30pm.
Mr Wheaton said the think-tank would give country music followers the opportunity to provide feedback on the 2011 Horsham Country Music Festival, and suggestions for the 2012 festival and monthly gigs with Warracknabeal scheduled to host four shows this year.
