A Nhill team of cyclists is about to  embark on a 520-kilometre relay to raise funds for West Wimmera Health Service.
Known as the ‘Wheel Wobblin Health Syclists’, the team is taking part in the Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay, a 24-hour fund-raiser starting in Mildura on Saturday and ending  in Port Fairy on Sunday.
Support crew member Helen Cannell said it would be the 15th time the WWHS team had joined the annual event, which raised funds for health services across Victoria.
“The team has been hard at training for the past three months to reach their optimum level of fitness,’ Helen said.
“We will be passing through Horsham at around 7pm on Saturday if anyone would like to come down and show their support.”
Helen said the WWHS team wanted to thank all its supporters.
“We’d like to thank all the local sponsors who have donated towards the Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay. Without their support it would not be possible for us to take part in this fantastic event.”
She said people could still donate money, with all the funds going to West Wimmera Health Service.
“The team has raised $40,000 in the past three years, which has been used to buy much-needed medical equipment for all WWHS sites.”
This year’s team has 10 riders: speech pathologist Ying Ying He, podiatrist Sarah Natali, Michael Creek, painter Rob Schneider, registered nurses Ingvar Lidman and Karen Hunter, Rod Colbert, Stephen Graham, Peter Smith and Tim Henson.
