Monique’s got talent for TV hit

Minyip singer and teacher Monique Le Bass, 29, is hopeful of making it through rounds of Channel Seven television competition Australia’s Got Talent after impressing judges during an audition in February.
The former Queenslander, who is tackling opera in the show, will appear on the show’s next episode on Monday night.
The death of her singing teacher John Weaving, who helped her regain confidence after a car crash, provided inspiration for the Melba Music Bachelor of Music graduate to audition for the competition.
Le Bass has occasionally performed at community concerts in Minyip where she has surprised audiences with her powerful voice.
