Horsham Kannamaroo Festival committee members are keen for organisations running events on the big weekend to get together to strengthen ties.
Festival spokesman Paul Latimer said after between 5000 and 6000 people crammed into Firebrace Street for a festival street party last Friday night it was important for everyone to make the most of the occasion.
He said the committee was likely to call for a meeting of interested parties.
“There are a lot of events tying in with the weekend and it would be great to get everyone on board to scope out what the festival can offer,” he said.
He agreed that last weekend represented a pre-Christmas ‘smorgasbord of shopping, sport and entertainment’ in Horsham.
“Friday night was massive and the good weather helped a lot. People said they hung around a lot longer than usual. There was no doubt it was cooking along – there were people everywhere. The night again presented a great start for retailers to launch their pre-Christmas trade,” he said.
