Stawell students shine for acting teacher

Stawell 502 Primary School have benefited from free acting lessons from international acting teacher Paul Parker.

Mr Parker, who lives in Landsborough near Stawell, is assisting students, from grades three to six, prepare for the school play The Piper.

With 24 years teaching experience, Mr Parker teaches actors, television presenters and sports stars with their presentation skills.

He lived in Los Angeles for nine years, teaching and directing the rising stars of the acting world.

Mr Parker has also acted in various television and theatre shows.

But a desire to return to Australia led him to the open spaces of Landsborough.

He continues to teach actors from around the world via Skype.

Mr Parker commended students for their commitment, talents and passion for wanting to perform.

“The classes began in the first week of December. The children are doing very well,” he said.

“But teaching children is very different from teaching adults. You need to break it down to a level for the kids.
