Organisers of a Glamour Ball and charity auction in Horsham on August 15 hope to raise between $10,000 and $15,000 for equipment for Wimmera Health Care Group.

The Horsham Blue Ribbon Foundation Ball, from 7.30pm at Horsham College’s I.O. Maroske Hall, will feature band Cover 2 Cover.

Foundation Horsham branch president Peter Daffy said the night was about raising money for a new trolley and electronic monitor for Wimmera Base Hospital’s emergency department.

“Everyone in the Horsham district will know someone who will in some way need to use the emergency service. It might be a footy club, a mother, father, brother or sister. So it is important to everyone,” he said.
