Tribute band at cabaret

BABBA, an Australian tribute band to ABBA, will headline the Waterloo to Warracknabeal Cabaret at Warracknabeal Town Hall on October 3.

The event follows the success of the Warracknabeatles cabaret and will again be a fundraiser for Woodbine and Rural Northwest Health.

Cabaret organiser and Woodbine chief executive Bernie O’Connor said the idea of the event was to mould the community together with quality entertainment.

“Warracknabeatles was a huge success last year and it proved that if you bring a top-class act to the region, the community will support it,” Mr O’Connor said.

“BABBA will transport you back to the ‘70s with a show full of humour, great costumes, Swedish accents, spine-tingling harmonies and fun-filled dance-floor action. It’s going to be another beauty.”

Mr O’Connor said the night would have a slight change in format to last year.

“Entry will only be $40 this year but we will not include supper with the cabaret,” he said.
