Long list of upper house candidates

Forty-five candidates will vie for five seats in the Legislative Council Western Victoria.

Labor Party is defending two seats. The Liberal-National Coalition, three.

Candidates are:

Family First: Barry Newton, Julie Gebbing.

Palmer United Party: Catrinona Thoolen, Gerad Murphy, Cameron Hickey.

Democratic Labor Party, Mark Farrell, Joanne Schill.

Australian Sex Party: Jayden Millard, Douglas Leitsch.

Australian Country Alliance: Garry Kerr, Ronald Heath.

Australian Christians: Ann Foster, Leo van Veelen.

Liberal Democratic Party: Mark Thompson, Baydon Beddoe.

Shooters and Fishers Party: Nicole Bourman, Megan Winter.

Animal Justice Party: Andy Meddick, Jennfier Gamble.

Rise Up Australia Party: Michael Keane, Merle Johnston.

People Power Victoria – No Smart Meters: Phillip Gluyas, Dianne Bell.

Australian Cyclists Party: Kathy Francis, Colin Charles.

Voice for the West: Garry Thomas, Johanne Curran.

Vote 1 Local Jobs: James Purcell, Tanya Waterson.

Ungrouped candidate: Gary Mannion.
