City offers new mobile service

Horsham Rural City Council has launched a new mobile application or ‘app’ to help people get in touch with council staff and access services.

Council media and communications officer Lise Eagan Bales said the new app offered tools to help make Horsham residents and visitors lives easier.

“A wide range of council information and services are now available at your fingertips on council’s new app. The app is currently available for iPhones and iPads and provides a mobile resource for residents and visitors to the municipality,” she said.

“The main feature of the new mobile app is the service-request option.

“Residents and visitors can easily submit a service request to the council using the GPS on the device, which populates the location details automatically and photos can be attached to the service request.

“The new app is free and is available from the iTunes App Store. Search for ‘HRCC’ and download. When downloading on an iPad, choose the iPhone only option.”
