Western Highway closed after truck rollover

police tapePolice have advised the Western Highway could be closed until 6pm tonight following a truck rollover near Dadswells Bridge.

Leading Senior Constable Mick Ryan said a B-double truck was heading west along the highway towards Horsham when it hit a horse.

“The driver lost control and ran off the road into trees,” he said.

Leading Snr Const Ryan said the driver suffered minor injuries.

He said the highway between could be closed between Horsham and Stawell for the rest of the day.

“It’s a very big clean-up,” he said.

The accident occurred near Daves Avenue and Howards Road, east of Dadswells Bridge.

Police are diverting traffic through Murtoa.
