Horsham-owned Keep Not A Day salutes at Moonee Valley

Horsham-owned and Darren Weir-trained galloper Keep Not A Day was an impressive winner at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
Keep Not A Day lined up in a 1200-metre event at benchmark 64 level, with gun rider Harry Coffey in the saddle.
Coffey drove the chestnut gelding straight to the lead, in a good display of speed.
Keep Not A Day was able to dictate terms out in front, with no pressure from his rivals.
The son of Ad Valorem gave a strong kick rounding the home turn, pinching a winning break.
Keep Not A Day had to survive a late charge from eventual second place-getter Super Fun, prevailing by a half-length.
The win would have been a huge thrill for Horsham owner-breeder Jim Lonsdale, who races the horse in conjunction with the Forrest Lodge syndicate. Keep Not A Day looks to have a bright future ahead, registering his second win, from just four starts.
Preusker on a roll
Horsham trainer Paul Preusker’s good form over the past few months continued at Sunday’s Coleraine Cup meeting.
