Enjoy a dash of glamour at Murtoa on Friday night as people don 1950s-style clothing for The Dressmaker dress-up competition.
The competition is inspired by the film of the same name, partially shot at Murtoa last year.
The Dressmaker author Rosalie Ham and the film’s producer Sue Maslin will judge the competition.
The competition will coincide with the official opening of Murtoa’s Big Weekend. The opening ceremony will also mark the start of the GrainCorp Art Exhibition.
The festivities will be in Murtoa Mechanics Hall from 8pm to 11pm.

Get the full story – and a preview of Murtoa’s Big Weekend activities – in the September 30, 2015 edition of The Weekly Advertiser.
