Highly decorated Australian country music star Lee Kernaghan will headline the 2018 Lake Charlegrark Country Music Marathon.

Highly decorated Australian country music star Lee Kernaghan will be the headline act at next year’s Lake Charlegrark Country Music Marathon.
Marathon officials have confirmed arrangements with the artist, credited with reinvigorating Australian country music in the 1990s.
Kernaghan is responsible for country music anthems including The Outback Club and Boys from the Bush.
The annual Lake Charlegrark Country Music Marathon, in February at Lake Charlegrark near Goroke, raises money for Edenhope hospital and other district charities.
Kernaghan has performed in the Wimmera several times, most recently as part of his The Songs and The Stories tour in Horsham Town Hall in May last year.
His most memorable Wimmera performance was a 2007 drought relief concert at Longerenong.
The free Spirit of the Bush concert attracted more than 20,000 people, provided a distraction for communities battling through the hardship of drought and gave the region’s businesses a much-needed economic boost.
