Darren Webster is Skillinvest’s new chief executive.
Mr Webster has been acting in the role since October 2016, when former chief executive John Ackland retired.
He has played a leading role in the continued growth of Skillinvest throughout the past 12 years and has been active in many of the organisation’s recent strategic successes including the upgrade of accommodation facilities at Longerenong College and a Bayer Crop Science partnership.
Mr Webster was instrumental in the merger of Workco Limited with LINK Employment and Training in 2015 to form Skillinvest, a high-level employment, education and training service.
With more than 10 years finance management experience in the employment and training industry and over 20 years finance management experience in the water industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. “Our industry is constantly changing and we need to ensure our business is always looking for opportunities to grow and diversify to provide it with a sustainable future,” he said.
Skillinvest has six offices across Victoria, along with Longerenong College.
