Minyip Primary School has helped this year’s Minyip Show become a success.
This year the senior students were part of a co-committee who helped to organise the show.
Co-president Tyler Pidgeon, Co-Vice President Ishita Dalleedoo, Co-Secretary Wilson Mitchell and Co-Treasurer Will Hotker all had major roles in decision making , running formal meetings and generally ensuring the show happened.
Principal Ben Tait said students wrote letters to businesses and guests to gain sponsorship, invite attendees and to get show attractions.
“GWM Water, Army Reserve, SES and Marnoo Primary School all attended because of the letters,” he said.
The students were also successful in gaining over $2000 of sponsorship from businesses by writing letters and making phone calls.
“The show program cover, poster advertisements, tickets and newspaper advertisements were all designed by or conceptually created by the students.”
