TO BE: Ruby Risson, 15, will be doing work experience with the Bell Shakespeare Company in Sydney.

Horsham College year 10 student, Ruby Risson, will gain valuable work experience with the Bell Shakespeare Company in Sydney in November.
Ruby, 15, is one of only twelve students from around Australia, and one of only two from Victoria.
Ruby said she was excited by the challenge.
“I’m really excited and nervous, but mostly excited to join the company,” she said.
“The focus will be on all aspects of the company, from back stage, acting and fundraising.”
“We also get to watch a show at the Sydney Opera House.”
The program gives students the opportunity to go behind the scenes of a professional theatre company, participate in drama workshops, sit in on audition panels, learn about production casting, running rehearsals and much more.
Ruby had to write a short essay, cover letter, resume to complete her application along with some short answer questions.
Ruby has extensive experience in theatre; she performed the lead role in Horsham College’s 2014 production of Alice in Wonderland as well as participating in the 2015 and 2016 school productions.
