Greater Western Victoria Rebels new head coach Marc Greig put the Wimmera-Mallee’s emerging football talent through its paces at a training session at Horsham’s Dimboola Road oval on Monday night. Players from the Wimmera talent pathway are training under the direction of squad coaches Shayne Breuer and Brendan Bryan with an eye to making the GWV Rebels squad early next year. Greig formerly coached North Ballarat Roosters before taking over the Rebels reins from Gerald Fitzgerald. A three-time premiership player with the Roosters and VFL state player, Greig grew up in Horsham, coached Wimmera Football League outfit Warrack Eagles in 2006 and 2007 and also enjoyed a stint with district league outfit Kalkee.
