Hindmarsh Shire residents celebrated International Day of People with Disabilities during a day of entertainment at Nhill Memorial Community Centre.
Hindmarsh mayor Ron Ismay welcomed people of all abilities to the event, which was moved indoors because of inclement weather.
Participants sang and danced, showed off their artistic skills, played games, practised making music with Federation handbells and shared lunch.
Cr Ismay said the dancing, choreographed by talented resident Janeth Rebarbas, was a hit with participants.
“Hindmarsh Shire Council would like to extend a big thank you to those that assisted on the day and particularly to those participants who travelled from away to attend,” he said.
People can call Michelle Farinha on 5391 4444 or email mfarinha@hindmarsh.vic.gov.au to provide feedback.
