Man injured after fall at Mt Arapiles


A Melbourne man, 21, has been injured after falling off Castle Crag at Mt Arapiles.
The man was climbing with friends when he fell from the five-metre climb.
Natimuk police Leading Senior Constable Peter Mellington said the man’s rope helped to break his fall.
“He’s come down pretty hard,” he said.
The air ambulance arrived at Mt Arapiles at 4.28pm.
Officers are assessing the man’s injuries before moving him off the mountain.
“His injuries are not life threatening or serious,” LSC Mellington said.
