Leaders of a Nhill-based poppy project are seeking more volunteers to knit or crochet red poppies for Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
A group of volunteers is decorating eight palm trees near Nhill’s War Memorial in Goldsworthy Park.
Two trees have been completed, each requiring 2200 poppies, and project leaders hope to complete the tribute in the next few years with the help of volunteers. Nhill RSL is helping to supply wool.
People wanting more information can call Pam Deckert on 0439 662 943 or Rosie Clark on 0408 467 116.
