Eagles to break hoodoo

By LUKE SCHUYLER Warrack Eagles coach Sarah Koschitzke is hoping it’s a case of fourth time lucky as the side attempts to stop Ararat’s reign of domination in Wimmera Netball Association. Warrack and Ararat have played off in the grand final the past four years and it’s been the Rats that have prevailed on each occassion. Koschitzke said the two sides had forged a healthy rivalry and she expected a tough and physical contest. “When two sides clash in big games so often in consecutive years like we have it means we have certainly got a rivalry going,” she said. “We always seem to match up well against each other and I expect both sides to give everything to win this one.” While Ararat has had the better of the past three grand finals, Koschtizke believes this year is a new ball game after a morale-boosting win for the Eagles in the second semi-final. “The first two grand finals they beat us really easily, but last year it was only three goals,” she said. “But this year things are different. We’ve played three times this season and we have won two of those matches. “I think it will give us huge confidence going into the grand final, especially after we played so well and won by so much in the second semi.” Koschitzke said the Eagles had prepared differently in season 2010...
