Ararat business AF Gason has launched its new state-of-the-art Para-Maxx machine. Managing director Terry Pye said the machine, designed and built in a record 90 workings, was the world’s first planter with independant hydralically controlled tynes and coulters that could be operated from the tractor seat. “The machine allows you to vary tyne depth or coulter pressure on the run to take advantage of moisture and soil conditions to maximise germination,” he said. “Multiple spacing is available and can be fitted with single 1000 kilos hydraulic tyne for conventional working. Spear point or conventional tools such as sweeps, or double disc opener and single or double press wheels can also be fitted.” Mr Pye said the new machine was a hit at Wimmera Mallee Machinery Field Days, with Gason winning the best stand at the show.
