Member for Lowan Hugh Delahunty will draw on his vast experience as a state politician and Essendon footballer when he argues for the affirmative in Rupanyup Football Club’s debate – “Football is better than sex” – next week. But Hugh will have his work cut out for him against Horsham psychologist Michelle Battersby, who is sure to take a psychological edge into her argument for the negative. Known as The Great Debate, the event will take place at Rupanyup Hall on July 11 from 7pm. Hugh will be joined by Tommy Tyler and Jan Dunlop to argue for the affirmative while Michelle have Whitney Featherstone and Tony Hurley on her team presenting the case against. Tickets are $30 each which includes a three-course meal. A licensed bar will also be open on the night.
