Ararat network launch

Businesses in the greater Ararat area will launch the Greater Ararat Business, GAB, Network at a gathering at Ararat RSL on November 20.

GAB Network will replace Ararat Regional Business Association, which has officially gone into recess.

Network leaders are launching the rebranded group as part of a major rekindling of business representation and recognition for business support in Ararat district.

The network has already started framing direction guidelines, which include plans to provide opportunities for businesses to network, obtain training and mentoring.

An ultimate aim is to support business and economic sustainability across the region.

The launch will feature a guest speaker, which network officials are busily organising.

GAB Network president Maria Whitford, also Ararat RSL general manager, will provide an overview of the network, its plans for the coming year and outline benefits of becoming a GAB Network member.

The evening will also offer businesses within the greater Ararat area an opportunity to  hear about other businesses in the region and identify ways to work with and support each other into the future.

GAB Network represents a diverse range of businesses and geographical areas across the region.

The network works closely with Ararat Rural City Council, which is providing administrative help and co-ordination of meetings.

Officials have urged people keen to join the network to send a message via GAB Network Facebook page.

The official launch will be from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
