Warracknabeal export Chloe Bibby will don number 55 for Perth Lynx in the upcoming Women’s National Basketball League, WNBL, season.

Bibby, 24, signed with the Perth team last week, as she finishes off a season with Kilsyth Cobras in the NBL 1 South conference.

Bibby said she was excited to join Perth Lynx for the 2022-23 season.

“It’s been good to play in NBL 1, and I’m super excited to get over to Perth to play,” she said.

“I play at Kilsyth Cobras with Lauren Scherf and I’m excited I will be able to keep playing with her, as she is also playing for Lynx.

“I have family over there as well, so that will be really good.”

Bibby is averaging 19 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists with Kilsyth Cobras.

Bibby returned to Australia to play in May this year after four years in the United States playing for Maryland Terps and Mississippi Bulldogs while studying at college.

“I’m super excited to be back playing in Australia,” Bibby said.

“I fell in love with basketball over in the States, the way they handle the game and how they play – it’s a lifestyle. 

“I was so immersed in basketball over there, the whole four years, but it will be great to have friends and family around me. It’s a bit of a change to be back, but I’m loving every moment of it.”
