Thousands of people will descend on Halls Gap this weekend for one of Australia’s longest running food and wine festivals – the Grampians Grape Escape.
Kicking off on Friday night, and then following on Saturday and Sunday, the festival showcases local and regional winemakers, producers, distillers, brewers and artisans.
Guests set to host masterclasses include acclaimed Tasmanian chef Analiese Gregory, local fire cooking specialist Tom Ballinger of Coal Catering, Dean Sibthorp from Pomonal Estate Cellar Door Restaurant by Block and Cleaver and Dimboola’s Cat Clarke.
Other highlights of the festival include the Shiraz Barrique Auction, uniting winemakers for a one-off blend and rare lots in support of the region, and the return of the grape stomping competition.
