Federation University opens doors to prospective students

Federation University’s Wimmera campus hosted an information day last week with potential students given a hands-on look at courses for 2022.

Wimmera head of campus Geoff Lord said a range of courses were available to students in Horsham.

“We had a focus on TAFE subjects and nursing is always a major attraction,” he said.

“We marketed the day to target the year 12s who got their results, and if they wanted to change preferences we were on hand to help them out.” Mr Lord said student numbers remained steady.

“As always we have a static flow of demand across the campus and we have extra courses now on offer,” he said.

“Nursing always has strong numbers, but we are well subscribed for other courses which kick off in February.”

Mr Lord said people could enrol in courses right up to the start of February, but urged people considering courses to contact the university as soon as possible.
