Mrs Colbert takes the top job after six years of service on the board.

Two new directors have also joined the board. Matthew Jukes, based in Mildura, has expertise in financial management and accounting, asset management and corporate governance along with 20 years of experience working in finance. Gary Simpson, of Stawell, has experience in audit and risk management, clinical governance and community services.

They join board members Michelle Coutts, Carlee Kennedy, John Millington, Sharon Tooley and Felicity Walsh.

There are also seven board sub-committees – an executive committee, finance and audit committee, quality and safety governance committee, project control group, and three community advisory committees in Kaniva, Nhill and Minyip, Murtoa and Rupanyup.

The committees play a variety of roles in the strategic direction of the health service.
