Marian College head of drama and director Teresa Tonks said the school was excited to present this year’s production.
“A light-hearted and slapstick show, Lucky $tiff is the perfect medicine for our students, who have been deprived of live theatre for so long,” she said.
“After yet another frustrating lockdown in August, we weren’t sure we could get a show up and running.
“Fortunately, we rescheduled for December 9 to 11 and look forward to staging this crazy and comedic show for the people of Ararat.”
Ararat mayor Jo Armstrong said she was pleased to see the return of productions to Ararat Town Hall.
“After a prolonged closure, it’s great to see the hall filled with young singing, acting and dancing talent from Marian College,” she said.
“Director Teresa Tonks’ passion for theatre and commitment to fostering young talent in our community has not gone unnoticed; we’re fortunate to have such a great supporter of the venue.
“The council is thrilled to support a school production and encourage residents to come along and enjoy a night of laughs and entertainment.”
Lucky $tiff performances will start at 7.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Doors open at 7pm and guests are required to check-in and be seated prior to the performance. Tickets are on sale and available via www.ararattownhall.com.au.
