Horsham West and Haven Primary School raised more than $2000 for Motor Neurone Disease and dunked 20 people on Friday’s MND Day ice bucket challenge.
Haven campus principal Craig Amos, one of the dunked, said the experience took his breath away.
“It does give you a shock – I wasn’t ready for the second dunking that happened,” he said.
“But it’s a great cause and it’s well worth it, just a little moment for us to be laughed at is worth the money we raised.”

Haven campus raised $1352.80, while Horsham campus raised $885.85.
“Haven’s total included a massive contribution from the Horsham PowerCor social club as well – we can’t thank them enough for getting behind our fundraiser,” Mr Amos said.
Teachers, school captains and student representative council members also participated in the challenge.
Teacher Lauren Andrew said the dunking was ‘delightfully refreshing’.
“Everyone was really supportive for such a great cause – we had volunteers to dunk the kids, and Mrs McGennisken made the ice,” she said.
“We also had some incredible parents – we sent notification of it out and they loved that their kids had volunteered for it.”
