GREAT CAUSE: Chloe Stephenson of Murtoa donates nappies at Emma Kealy’s electoral office in Horsham.

Nappy collection continues

Wimmera families are continuing to support The Nappy Collective Project, dropping donated nappies into the Horsham office of Member for Lowan Emma Kealy.

Ms Kealy has nominated her office as a drop-off point for unused disposable nappies for distribution to district organisations that support families in crisis or in need for the past two years.

“The local generosity and support for The Nappy Collective Project has been amazing,” she said.

“It is wonderful to see more donations coming in for such a great cause. More than 2000 unused nappies have been collected through my office and distributed locally by the Christian Emergency Food Centre to support victims of domestic violence and young families in need.

“As this round of The Nappy Collective draws to an end, I encourage people to check in the back of their cupboards to find any unused nappies and to drop them into my Firebrace Street office.

“This is a fantastic project and I encourage all local residents to get involved.”
