PHOTOS, VIDEO: Horsham commemorates Anzac Day – from a distance

The region’s residents paid their respects to the country’s fallen on Anzac Day despite having to come together in spirit this year, rather than in person.

Coronavirus restrictions have forced the cancellation of all public commemorations this year, with government social-distancing and self-isolation measures still in place.

Horsham RSL president Bob Lockwood, senior vice-president Don Pirouet and trumpeter Jo Ellis commemorated the event with a short service at Sawyer Park.

ACE Radio station 3WM played a pre-recorded dawn service to commemorate the day.
