Stawell golfers tee off against cancer

Mitch Kelly scored 44 stableford points to win a Stawell Golf Club event raising money for families dealing with cancer.

Kelly won from runner-up Ryan Cullen, 41, in the club’s Jarrod Lyle ‘Doin’ it for Jarrod’ day as part of a nationwide event dedicated to the former Australian professional who died from cancer several years ago.

Stawell club captain David Hunter said the event was ‘a bit of fun’.

“We can raise a few dollars in the process, and get a few people out there in yellow supporting the cause,” he said.
