Jenny Stevens, Andrew Bolzon and Melissa Sutherland tried to will Findex over the line but fell marginally short, with the final score line reading Farrers Tyrepower 11 sets, 134 games, to Findex 12 sets, 127.
Findex will get an opportunity to redeem itself when it plays off for third place on Friday.
Grampians Joinery’s march towards premiership glory continued with a comprehensive 15 sets, 146 games, to eight sets, 116 games, triumph over Delahunty Plumbing.
Delahunty Plumbing required a comfortable win to give itself any hope of making the grand final, but was no match for the minor premier.
It was the usual suspects who set the tone early for Grampians Joinery, with Ben Martin, Jade Cross and Angie Fudge all saluting comfortably, while Emily Davis and Holly Graveson provided the finishing touches. Grampians Joinery has continued to ride a tidal wave of momentum, with ultimate success being the only acceptable result in the grand final.
Delahunty Plumbing’s D’Artagnan Walls and Luke Monaghan continued their stellar seasons and will be looking for more support next week in the battle for third.
Grand final: Grampians Joinery v Farrers Tyrepower, Friday 6.15pm. Third-place playoff: Delahunty Plumbing v Findex, Friday 6.15pm.
Final ladder: Grampians Joinery 131 points, Farrers Tyrepower 114, Delahunty Plumbing 96, Findex 90.
