Horsham Sharks swimmers Matilda Delahunty, Abel Neumann and Grace Sansom competed in the 2026 South Australian Short Course State Championships at the weekend. 

The trio achieved multiple personal-best times, with Sansom finishing in the top-10 in all three of her events.

Earlier this month the three swimmers, along with Kaeden Beaton, competed in the 2026 Victorian Short Course Country Championships at Traralgon. The four swam in the 13-and-under medley and freestyle relay events.

It was the first time in at least 10 years the club has entered relays at a championship event. 

Coach Jasmine Neumann said the club was proud of the swimmers who had trained hard and travelled to many meets across western Victoria to obtain qualifying times. 

“They all swam amazingly and achieved some great personal best times – we as a club are very proud of our swimmers and appreciate the time parents spend in the car and sitting on the pool deck supporting these young athletes,” she said.

The Horsham Sharks will host their third mini meet for the year on Friday next week at Horsham Aquatic Centre.
