Horsham Regional Art Gallery will host a series of art and photography workshops for youth throughout August and September.

The gallery’s art club is encouraging youth aged 12 to 16 years to join workshops, where tutors and artists will help participants develop new art-making skills and gain confidence in their ability, during a six week program.

The club aims to connect with other young artists in an engaging space while discovering gallery exhibits.

The first half of the program will see participants dive into still-life compositions as part of a ‘Still Now’ exhibition, working across painting, sculpture and photography mediums.

In mid-August, the club will explore photography techniques using digital and non-digital devices while exploring contemporary Australian photography in a ‘Return to the Beginning’ exhibition.

People can book into the program, starting on August 4, online at horshamtownhall.com.au
