The traditional HRCAV disciplines of dressage, showing, showjumping, horse trials, three-phase equitation and navigation riding are covered.
There are also plans to offer social events, trail rides, rider mindset and fitness and groundwork as additional options.
The club has guaranteed members access to top-level instructors and a membership base with qualified HRCAV officials and riders who have ridden at elite levels.
Club vice-president and international-level eventing coach Mal Maytom said he was proud to stand behind the new club.
“The equestrian world can be tough enough as it is, especially when people don’t support each other,” he said.
“I’m very excited for the club’s future, with its values placing it in good stead to support all riders new and old.
“Our founding members certainly had a vision, and that vision is coming to life in the form of this club – the place where the friendly supportive riders will be – a must for all who want to learn without negativity and judgement. It has my vote for sure.”
He said people could find out more by searching Mid West Riding Club on Facebook or by emailing midwestridingclub@gmail.com.
